Why are you able to offer discounted private dental treatment?

Cancellations in all fields of professional medicine and dentistry is a fact of life. At SecretDentist, We’re here to fill those gaps at short notice with patients who want private dental treatment and can be flexible to have their smile back at a discounted rate!

Will I have the treatment same day?

The first appointment you have with the dentist will be to assess suitability and, as long as both you and the dentist are happy, treatment will begin during the appointment.

Will the dentist compromise on quality?

Never. The dentist will use the same lab and the same techniques they employ for every private patient they treat!

What happens if the treatment I was expecting to have isn’t right for me? 

The dentist will always act in your best interests. If the treatment you came in for isn’t right for you, your dentist will advise you of this and provide you with the right options for you to make the right decision for you.

What if I need treatment on more that one tooth- will I receive a discount on all treatment? 

Yes! All treatment selected when you subscribe will be eligible for discount – though depending on your personal needs, all treatment may not begin on the same day.

Should I expect to compromise on quality of treatment?

Absolutely NOT. You should expect the same level of care and quality of outcome that any private patient should expect!

Do you offer treatment under the NHS?

Unfortunately all treatment offered is on a (discounted) fully private basis)

Can you tell me how much my treatment will cost in advance?

The dental practice that contacts you will advise you of the discount they can offer you in advance of any appointment being made. Once at your appointment, the dentist will provide you with a quote based on your individual needs inclusive of the agreed discount plan. At that point you decide whether to proceed or not.

I need a crown. Will I be offered all materials, including white and gold?

Once the dentist has determined suitability, all available options will be offered to you at the discounted rate- no exclusions

Will I need to pay for scans?

If the dentist deems it necessary for you to have a scan prior to treatment, this will be made clear to you. The cost of the scan and report will also be subject to the discounted rate that you have agreed!

What if I need to cancel?

A £50 reservation fee applies to all payments. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will incur a £50 fee. This is charged as there is a low likelihood of the dentist being able to see another patient at such short notice

What do I need to do in order to be eligible for discounted private care?

Please ensure you arrive at the practice at least 10 minutes ahead of your appointment. Please also ensure that you have followed all advice given to you by the dental practice to ensure that you are prepared to have treatment on the same day if deemed suitable.

Do you offer discounted fillings?

We specialise in more complex treatment where the savings are likely to be more meaningful to you as our patient!

I need treatment that isn’t on your form. What can I do?

We specialise in a range of complex treatments. Please select the ‘other’ image on our form and specify the treatment that you require. We’ll let you know how best to serve your needs!

Where are your dental practices located?

We have agreements with dental practices across England, though many of our practices are based in and around Greater London

This sounds great! How is this possible?

There’s a massive gap between public and private dental treatment at the moment- and we see the need for a solution for those caught in between.

Dentists always have appointment gaps – this is inevitable with a service offering complex medical treatment to patients. We offer to fill that gap with patients who want first class treatment without compromise, at a reduced price.

Why Do Dentists Have Gaps in their Diary?

Let’s take the example of a dental group that’s setup a new practice in a brand new region and would like to build up their offering.

Or in another case, a patient who phones the dental practice in the morning to let them know they have COVID. The patient can’t be seen and therefore has their appointment rearranged, leaving a gap in the diary.

Once you’ve subscribed, you could be the lucky person that either practice phones to fill their open appointments at a discounted price!

Example Scenario 1 - The Last Minute Appointment

A practice has an opening in their diary with their visiting Oral Surgeon who specialises in complex Oral Surgery. The standard charge for a wisdom tooth extraction by an Oral Surgery expert is £595 and the patient is offered a discount of 33%, reducing the fee to £398!

Example Scenario 2 - The New Surgery

A new practice has opened in a nearby town and contacts you as they have availability in their calendar to provide you with a white crown. The standard charge for a porcelain crown is £750. The practice offers you a discount of over 25%, reducing your bill to £550!

Example Scenario 3 - The Seat Filler

An established dental group has setup a new practice in a brand new region and would like to build up their offering. They offer a few slots a day on a temporary basis to fill their book, saving you 20% on your treatment fees!
