AFTERCARE
Everything You Need for a Smooth Recovery
What happens after IV sedation?
After your procedure has finished, you will feel a little groggy and maybe dizzy. These effects of the sedation will not last long, and your team will allow you to come around in your own time.
You will still be feeling the effects of the amnesia at this stage, and you might ask us the same questions lots of times. That’s ok! We don’t mind.
This guide will explain everything you need to do for the next few days to ensure you have a smooth and safe recovery.

Keeping you safe after your sedation
We have some simple instructions for you for the next couple of days so that your recovery is smooth and uneventful!
After your treatment, your escort will need to take you straight home – please do not plan any stops or errands on the way home.
Your escort will need to stay with you for 24 hours after the procedure. It is important that they are caring for you only.
You need to travel home by private transport only – a car or taxi. Please do not take public transport.
It is important that you do not sign any legal documents, operate heavy machinery, go to work, make any large purchases or use social media for 24 hours after your sedation.
Do not drink alcohol for 24 hours after your sedation.
Please do not care for anyone for 24 hours after your sedation, adult or child.
